Families that work together stay together! This saying is quite fitting for the Brummett family working at Prudential California Realty/Mulhearn in Huntington Beach.
Gaetane (Gae) and Roy Brummett met at the young age of 14 in the "small town" of Huntington Beach approximately 40 years ago. They have remained in Huntington Beach, married and raised two children, Danielle and Brett. They are now all working side by side at Prudential California Realty/Mulhearn. When Gae was asked what it’s like to work this close with her family she replied, "This is my Dream. I've been working on this my whole life!"
Gae’s father was a real estate broker in the 1950’s at Cal Western Real Estate, also located in Huntington Beach. It was a natural progression for both Gae and her husband Roy to become involved in the real estate industry. Along with her father, Gae’s also holds high regards for one of her mentors, Wendy Formica. "She actually made my involvement in Corporate Relocation possible!"
Gae and Roy "are so pleased to be working at Prudential/Mulhearn and think the world of the organization!" It just makes sense that their passion would rub off on their children, Danielle and Brett. Mulhearn owns the location that the Brummett’s work at, but their department operates independently. They handle both Relocation and REO.
Brummett’s family motto regarding their attitude toward business is "Provide service beyond expectation" and "We want to exceed our client’s expectations!"
Their daughter Danielle’s passion in the industry is really within the Relocation realm of the business. She really connects with the people and enjoys working with her clients very closely to make sure they are getting everything necessary to make their transition smooth and rewarding. Danielle is a graduate of UCSB with a degree in French and Sociology. Danielle naturally evolved into the business after spending time in the office with her mom and dad. "They have been the best mentors for (her). I'm so lucky to have them lead by example and bring so much enjoyment into my work."
Brett is also a graduate of UCSB majoring in Political Science. After spending some time as a PGA Golf Pro, Brett decided is was time to join the family at Prudential/Mulhearn which now allows him to have the flexibility to spend time with his family in the office and also his wife and children at home. According to Brett “my family will always have my best interest in mind. We can all work the necessary hours that bring success to both our professional and personal lives. The flexibility is wonderful.”
The Brummett Team have been members of SCRC for approximately 8 years. They were introduced to the organization by Gae’s mentor, Fullerton Real Estate Agent Denise Valverde. “We have met so many wonderful people at SCRC. The size of the organization allows us to create such personal relationships with the members and the board”. The team continues to be impressed by the speakers at SCRC, "The speakers are both informative and interesting." They also mentioned how fun the parties are!
The Brummetts will be attending the ERC 2009 National Relocation Conference in San Diego, May 13-15. On behalf of SCRC, we wish to thank the Brummetts for their contribution to our organization over the years!
